   VEDOP:
 

As of today, VEDOP is totally commissioned, and VEDOP-2 works continue. If we define VEDOP by a comparison from a newspaper in daily press, "VEDOP is the Atatürk Dam Project of Turkish Information Technology Sector".

   VEDOP with NUmbers:
 

     Within the project, there are 34 million registered on-line taxpayers
     155 Tax Offices in 22 provinces across Turkey have migrated to the complete automation system.
     The project runs on a network, where more than 200 servers and 9,000 clients deliver service
     The project is completed with more than 5,000 man/month of work
     8,000 tax office personnel is trained to use the applications

 

 

   Advantages of VEDOP:
 

     85% of the tax collection in Turkey is totally automated and controlled thanks to automation
    55% of the tax collection is carried out through banks.
     The information communication between the institutions, used to be carried out on paper, is turned into
       secure on-line data communication.
     The transfer of data to the tax payers' accounts has become regular and on time.
     With the Internet Tax Office application, the tax payers not only monitor and control their own records but
       
also audit the transactions done on their accounts.

     C++, MS Foundation Classes (MFC), CORBA/IIOP, COM, COM+, DCOM, MTS, ASP, JSP, XML
     The old main-frame systems in the enterprise are substituted with open UNIX architecture.
