What is AURORA? |
| |
The term "Aurora" has been first used to describe the atmospheric phenomenon appearing as streamers or bands of light especially in Northern Hemisphere. Aurora, a wonderful gift from nature, is an entrancing color spectrum created by charged particles entering the earth's magnetic field and stimulating molecules in the atmosphere. Happening during different times of the year in various shapes and colors Aurora, is a spectacular natural phenomenon incomparable with the rainbow.
Cybersoft named its process management and information technology infrastructure as "AURORA", which is developed to create a harmonic color spectrum similar to AURORA, as a result of the contact between process management and information technology infrastructure resulting from the internal know-how of Cybersoft and the new electronic business processes of middle and large scale organizations and institutions.

What is Software Product Line? |
| |
Today, many establishments confront critical issues regarding the success of the investments made on information systems and tracking the returns of these investments.
Production lines is a modern software engineering approach for controlling the production costs and shortening the processes for launching complex information systems in the market.
Software Product Line is a platform for managing and performing information system development activities that have reusable approaches in common.
Institutions and enterprises that use Software Product Line may easily access the following objectives via this approach;
Increase in market share,
Human resources that can be employed more easily with respect to quality and quantity,
Observable decrease in overall purchase costs,
More reliable information system solutions,
Increased customer satisfaction,
Fast product launching capability

Success of a Software Product Line ; |
| |
is a result of the manageability, through a systematic approach, of common core structures (model, documentation, libraries, architecture, framework, code bits, etc.) and activities (analysis, design, quality guarantee, test, etc.) that form an information system.
Detection of core structures and activities that can be commonly used in an information system enables to reuse methods and processes which should be reconsidered in each information system development. Therefore, Software Product Line approach focuses on "production" rather than "development". For this reason, enterprises that are worldwide leaders in their domains such as Siemens, General Motors, Nokia and Boeing adopted this modern approach and started to use more and more.
